Welcome to Bgee's Art ("Bgee" is play on initials "B.G."). I work on 11"x14", 100 lb art paper. Prison photography badly distorts images and does not show true quality of my artwork. In addition to selling my artwork, I'm also seeking loving supportive friendships. So feel welcome to write just because. To purchase my artwork, simply indicate the art you're
interested in and I will send you purchasing details.

ABOUT THE ARTIST: Growing up I struggled with learning disabilities caused by child abuse. No matter how hard I tried I just couldn't do school work. In the third grade, I started drawing while the other kids were doing school work at their desk. I drew on the back of the paper or in the margins. At first, just to keep from going insane from boredom; but I found making art woke up my soul and gave a tortured little boy some self-esteem. I started drawing at home too. At first, I drew the cartoon characters on my favorite shows, like Flintstones, Scooby Doo and Woody Woodpecker. Eventually I could draw them perfectly from memory. When my nice third grade teacher saw me at my desk drawing all these characters, she asked me, "Are you going to be an artist when you grow up?" Her questions made me feel proud. I told her, "Yes", and it was that moment I decided to devote myself to becoming an artist. I started drawing everything. My teacher, my pets, my house, etc...
Unfortunately the child abuse continued and lead to my coming to prison where I've been for a very long time. But I didn't give up practicing my art and it again somehow saved me from insanity. Now I'm trying to sell my art online to save me from poverty. Most of my prison life I earned my living as a mental fitness teacher and tutor. I have multiple certifications). But so many programs have been cut. However, I still Volunteer teach for free. I love animals and nature which shows in my artwork. I love all kinds of music and movies, but my heart is "Honey" sung by Bobby Goldsboro and "The Rainmaker" staring Burt Lancaster and Kathryn Hepburn. I've written some poetry, light, dark and funny. If you become my prison pen pal, we'll have super conversations.
Your Friend,
Bgee
